Unfortunately, not everyone can get private insurance. Therefore, please check whether you meet the following requirements:

Requirements for employees and workers:
The annual gross income (including holiday and Christmas bonuses) must be above the so-called compulsory insurance limit. This is 2023 monthly. EUR 5,550.00, EUR 66,600.00 annually. The contribution assessment limit for statutory health insurance is EUR 59,850 in 2023,  EUR 4987.50 per month.

The self-employed, freelancers and those entitled to benefits (officials and their families, if applicable) are not bound by any income limits.

Employees with an annual income below the wage limit cannot take out full private health insurance, but can take out supplementary private insurance. In this way you can significantly improve your insurance cover
